Well it is ON! Next week, be sure to pick a copy of Grimm Fairy Tales presents: Sleepy Hollow#1 from Zenescope Entertainment! It's what I'm been working on, and hope you like. A lot of coffee was used during the making of this wild ride roller coaster, so go grab it!

There was no doubt the event was great. The Puerto Rico Comic Con have nothing to envy from the other conventions celebrated inside the US territory.  Is the third edition I am proud to be part off, and all I can see in the near future, is nothing but bigger and better things. I take my hat off for the PRCC Staff and Crew.

   -   Over 12,000 people visited the 2 day event.

Experience and hard work has made the event a more mature and enjoyable experience. More people, more stuff to do and a lot loving was spread all around the floor.  From the staff, the staring guests, vendors and/or exhibitors all you received in exchange was a huge smile and great complements for the whole two day extravaganza.  Hopefully, this reaction and or effect on them will make more business people interested in the event and trust the success it could bring to their products.

A Marvel, DC, or even Image booth is almost around the corner for the interest inside their artists is already there.  Bloogers from the US that were there will surely spread the word.  I mean, was not to like? You take 2 days to celebrate what you do and love and then you take a few inside an incredible paradise which Puerto Rico is.  This year, not even the rain could dismiss the great spectacle that the PRCC came to be.

As an Artist I had the opportunity to exchange some words to many who one way or another follow my work. Some say they saw my work in Facebook, others in DeviantArt, and from there their reaction to my work and all the positive vibes.  I almost didn't make the cut as an exhibitor this year, so I thank God and my family (who lend a hand with the costs) for letting me experience the joy of what the event was. Did I mention that even Mr. Ruben Blades stop by the table an exchange some words?

   -   The great Ruben Blades not only took the pic with me, but gave some loving taking Violet Descend & Tainted for a later read!!!

From the event, some new faces and friends. Some new exciting proposals and an electrical energy that can only be extinguished with some Coffee and Bristol Boards. Because of the PRCC experience, I now love more what I do and hate to work as a Graphic & Web Designer even more.  The first monday after the event was a killer, I kept doodling everything everywhere, hardly getting any focus on what was needed to be done.

I can wait for 2012...is going to be awesome.

Vivimos días apresurados y de muy mala vibra con una criminalidad sin sentido.

Aquí en Puerto Rico no se mata ni se roba por necesidad o por hambre. Aquí es un puro vacilón, que por verlos brincar, disparan los tiros.  
El que roba aquí, no entiende lo que se lleva ni el esfuerzo que le tomo a esa familia a la cual roba para obtenerlo. Y lo peor de todo, no es que vende lo robado, sino que exista persona en esta isla que se preste para comprarlo. No, aquí no existen Robin Hoods.

El malestar social-económico ha llegado a todos pero esto no es una excusa y carta abierta para ser lo que queramos.  Se vive pobre pero honesto, con principios y con valores. Código de la vieja escuela que aunque puros, muchos prefieren descartarlos o ignorarlos por considerarlos anticuados. Como cangrejos en dron encaramados sobre el otro buscando que beneficio o lo que se puede sacar del que esta al lado.

Era yo, de los que como el Boricuazo, defendía la integridad e imagen de mi gente en donde quiera que estuviera. Pero eso fue hace tiempo y las cosas han cambiado, mi gente, mi pueblo ha cambiado. Nada lo quieren luchar, a todo le buscan el ángulo, el truco y la trampa. Quieren gozar de todo lo mejor pero nada ofrecen a cambio. Y que grandes cojones, que a pesar de que se roban el cable, tienen pillos en el agua, planes de subsidios para sus casas, y  usan el pan para comprar hasta en BEST BUY (exageración sarcástica) se atrevan a quejarse de que la cosa esta mala.

La cosa esta mala para todo aquel que trabaja duro y se esfuerza todos los días por superarse, pues somos los que recibimos los aumentos y taxes de todo.  Cuando nuestro el Gobierno se pone creativo y alza todos los costos y servicios somos los que trabajamos duro y nos esforzamos los que sufrimos. A nosotros se nos exprime casi con el barbarismo de llevarnos a la miseria.  Como explica que Hacienda persiga principalmente al que cumple con rendir la planilla y no así al que no lo hizo, al que evadió, al que metió hasta niños de Brad Pitt y Angelina Jolie (exageración sarcástica) para beneficiarse de los programas de ayuda.

Tenemos que cambiar nuestra filosofía de vida. Tenemos que empezar a reconocer que las cosas que aquí en vida hacemos, tienen mayores consecuencias de las que pensamos y les otorgamos.

Analiza tu vida y el mensaje que narras con ella. Tus hijos y los del vecino aprenderán siempre de lo que ven como correcto y no lo que escuchan como juicio y veredicto.

Well, Im back got my mindbag filled with a lot of mix feelings but feeling myself okay.
I'll try to post some of the things I've learned and noted of the event. Just need to get things in order and regroup. A lot of work to be done. A lot of things to be digested.

I woke up during the night feeling someone was shaking my bed. Right then, I thought the fan was to close to my bed making it trembled so I went back to sleep. Now I know the truth...a darn 5.8 earthquake hit the northwest coast of PR. I live on the norhteast still felt the sucker. Hurricanes we are in certain way OK... with, but earthquakes are a whole new ball game for PR. Hope everyone is OK.

Okay, as you might know by now, I'll be attending the Puerto Rico Comic Con this coming weekend (April 24 & 25). I wanted to do some sketches inside the booth to sell, but as I talked to RBA Directive, it was clear to me that, time to draw was not going to be there for me.

I'll be taking care of sales as well, leaving less time to draw around. That's what happens when you got a big mouth like mine .

So this is what I did.

I drew a couple of profile of characters that some of you had asked at certain points of my postings. I'll sell the originals (around 6" x 9.5" Inks on Bristol Board) and some mini-shots of them (around 3" x3" Printed on Bristol Board).  So if you like to have one, just drop by the booth and ask for them.  Please check the sample posted inside the gallery to know whats coming.

I'll even make printed copies of the originals (smaller size - Printed on Regular Sketch Pages) just in case you didn't get there on time but still want to take home a goodie.

So please check, and tell me what you think.  Remember they are inked sketchs and quantities are extremely limited.  I just want to make sure I got the food and fuel I'll spend in the even cover.
By the way, if you got coffee, please share a little. I can always go for some more.

I've been working with the preview pages of my up Coming proyect. 4 pages and a tease Variant Cover.  Already I have finish the inking process so is just about colors now.
The preview will be out for sale only for the Puerto Rico Comic Con on April (of course here in Puerto Rico). So if you are interested, please be sure to check RBA Studios booth inside the event. Hey did I mention Ill be there too!

If you live out of PR and would like a piece of the action, let me know to see if I can help you with the hook up.  I still dont know for how much it will sell, all I know is that it includes 2 other Proyect Previews by the Studio.  Ive seen the art...mind blowing. Sketches are included so is a good share for those who love the arts.

Yes I know lost in the woods again but life is a feasty beast and is really keeping me busy (which is good cause economically speaking everything is getting hard as an adamantium skull).
